02 · Cooling Water Circuits
Cooling water lines in a power plant are large-diameter and run continuously. Butterfly valves are the standard isolation choice at these sizes, operated through a bevel or worm gearbox, or motorised where the valve is part of a controlled sequence.
03 · Continuous Operation
Plant availability depends on equipment that does not need intervention. Declutch-able gearboxes give operators a manual route when power is lost, and gearboxes supplied ready for electric actuator allow automation to be added without changing the valve.
04 · Absorbing Thermal Movement
Metallic expansion joints absorb the growth and contraction of hot service lines, protecting pumps, condensers and anchor points from the loads that movement would otherwise transfer into them.
