ESG supplies air valves in Egypt in two versions — the triple function air valve for clean water and the triple function wastewater air valve — both available with the anti-slam option.

02 · Triple Function Air Valve
The standard air valve for clean water transmission and distribution mains, installed at high points and at changes of gradient along the pipeline.
03 · Triple Function Wastewater Air Valve
A version designed for sewage and wastewater service, where the media contains solids and the valve internals must stay clear of the liquid surface.
04 · The Anti-Slam Option
Anti-slam is available as an option on the ESG air valve range. It controls the rate at which the valve closes during filling so the water column does not strike the closing float at full velocity — the surge event that damages pipelines and fittings.

06 · Why Air Valves Matter
Trapped air reduces the effective cross-section of a pipeline and increases pumping energy. On draining or after a pump trip, the same pipeline can go into vacuum and collapse. The air valve handles both conditions, and the anti-slam option protects against the surge caused by the closing event itself.
